Back, and better than ever.
On June 8th, 2022, one of Annapolis’ most beloved restaurants was gutted by fire. After months of restoration, Sailor Oyster Bar is back and better than ever.
BGC collaborated with Level One Architects on the 2,727 SF rebuild at 196 West Street. The goal: keep the character regulars loved while making every square foot work harder.
The new first floor keeps the feel of the original layout but now offers more room and better flow for guests. The second floor was reworked with an expanded floor plan that adds dining tables, a full bar, and a prep kitchen to support the busier service.
Recognized with a 2024 Excellence in Construction award from ABC Chesapeake Shores.
Overhead, a new standing-seam metal roof caps the restored building. The project was completed in February 2024.
